Once harvested, the fruit is passed to a series of trays where each berry is carefully selected.
Only the best berries are selected for packing into tubs destined for the consumer.
SPRING HAS ARRIVED AT BIOBERRY!!!
After a long cold rainy winter (the cold by the way is very beneficial for blueberries), SPRING HAS ARRIVED AT LONG LAST AT BIOBERRY!!!
The entire plantation on these days is now blooming with blossom.
A magnificent flowering; which predicts an extraordinary harvest from July by which time each of these tiny flowers will have become a delicious berry.
Not only does it offer this wonderful picture of blossom filled fields, but also the plantation becomes a hive of activity during these weeks. And whom do we have to thank for all this? Well, none other than our charming friends, the bumblebees who carry out their essential task of POLLINATION in spring.
This task is essential for the successful fructification.
The bumblebees sip the pollen from the flowers with their Sting, causing them to germinate, and these seeds will then turn into splendid blueberries.
